Ding Dong Bell Bottoms

Bell Bottom denim is THE investment for Fall 2015.

Add a little secret height with a great pair of boots or clogs if you think Bell Bottoms are only for the tall types.  Isabel Marant Etoile Crisi boots even hide the heel for you shy ones :)

Stella McCartney naturally has THE best bells around.  Must be the Beatle association that helped her create the most flattering 70’s cut available!

Level 99 has long been a brand reversecommuter has loved – I even tried to convince them to design a maternity jean for my boutique in another life!  Anywho…Level 99’s Evelyn Gaucho is beyond adorable and could be the funnest piece of fall denim available! Picture them with adidas Stan’s or strappy sandals or ankle boots and a simple t-shirt.

MOTHER Denim’s high waisted cruiser is in a wash MOTHER calls ‘bushwhacked’ and that is just what you will be if you don’t invest in a pair of these!

Wondering what to do with your distressed jeans…

Sarong SO Right!

The next time you find yourself longingly stroking a scarf or sarong

thinking that yet another purchase would be “so wrong” (tee hee)

think lovingly of THE easiest, chicest beach outfit option, and swipe that credit card like a boss!

T-shirt, espadrilles or flip flops and GO Beach Baby GO!

E. I. E. I. Woah!

Summer dressing just got a lot easier!

Overalls + whatever you want underneath!

Bikini, tank top, white t-shirt, flip flops, strappy heels, clogs…Mix it up!

MOTHER denim total drop out overalls (reversecommuter has been obsessing over these) the perfect wash, just the right amount of distressed denim and the perfect boyfriend cut capri combo.

Not to mention how much fun it will be to style these with suede and fringe in the fall!

La Dolce Gabbana Vita

I have decided that I want to live inside a Dolce & Gabbana ad for a few days.

In a seaside Italian village.

With an extended family of strictly gorgeous people.

In a continuous rotation of flower laden, richly embroidered, body flattering, lace embellished clothing and bags.

Ideally during the summer months as I think my Dolce & Gabbana ad fantasy would totally stink if it was snowing and I couldn’t feel my toes.

Actually there is so very little difference between reverecommuter’s everyday life and my imaginary Dolce & Gabbana ad life…

Memorial Day Denim

The first official looooooong weekend of summer is almost here!

Distressed boyfriend denim – check!  Really loving MOTHER denim’s The Loosey Party Crashers.

Relaxed sneaker style – check!

Shan bikini at the ready – check!  If the sun actually comes out #evertheoptimist

A Nice Bit of Skirt

Skirts are a girl’s best friend once the snow melts.

Easy to pair with a simple t-shirt during the day, especially when the skirt is Yigal Azrouel’s print jersey skirt with an embellished waist.

Add a sexy spaghetti strap top for evening.  How insane is this Dolce & Gabbana printed brocade midi skirt?!  MAMA MIA!!!!

Slap on a pair of pull-on sneakers with a fun ruffled red skirt and a white t-shirt by J Brand + Simone Rocha

Or a pair of stiletto sandals and a cutout crop top with a perfectly peachy flared midi skirt from Jonathan Simkhai

Skirts are the perfect Spring piece – fun, flirty, swingy and sexy!  Stella McCartney’s Jordan skirt delivers all four adjectives with a side of bias cut.

ps did you know the word “skirt” is slang for a girl?  How absolutely perfect is that?

Sunshine & Scales

Animal prints, a basic addition to any wardrobe.  Why not bring out the animal instinct with the Sunshine?

Snake print in a blue hue from Equipment.

Paired up with a pair of Gap shorts (not every piece needs to break the bank!) and a pair of patent Lanvin ballet flats.

Now go cheer on that baseball /  soccer / lacrosse game Super Mom…but don’t forget the SPF – only the clothes are snake like, not your skin!
