Once upon a time in a land known for its cold weather
Futuristic Metalics are changing outerwear.
The fact that it resembles the delorean silver car in Back to the Future is the perfect reason to profile it on Back to the Future Day!
They don’t really.
This classic cream colored knit sweater needs to be added to your closet.
Or with ripped jeans and rain boots.
Or on top of your favorite dress with a pair of ankle boots.
Or with leggings (as long as your caboose is covered) and a pair of slip on sneakers in leopard pony hair (yummmmm).
Fall is one crazy season!
Invest in a sleeveless vest.
Put a tank top underneath. Pair it with a long sleeved t-shirt. Add a thin cashmere layer. A tailored shirt works too.
Jeans, leggings, even a tailored knee length skirt works with this piece. Add a pair of statement boots and vamanos mamacita!
Who Needs Sleeves?!?!
Bergdorf’s in the burbs? Dare to dream!
First thought that popped into my head when I experienced LEGIT activewear, an online and retail boutique in Wellesley, MA, a suburb just west of Boston.
Owner Lisa Goldberg (warning, she will instantly seem like your super fab sophisticated city girlfriend) single handedly tracks down the most intriguing design lines that will shake the lulu lemons right out of their tree!
LEGIT activewear is like the legitimizer of workout clothing. Designer clothing for actual workouts…it is like the directions on how to wear lycra are found right in the name of the store. Take what you worked out in off after the activity, but feel free to wear the gorgeous jackets, outerwear, cashmere, etc all day long.
Banging out those pre-marathon miles just got a whole lot sexier. Leggings from Lucas High, Michi, Charli Cohen with mesh, neon, ribbing, cutouts, seriously these are the clothes that make you jump out of bed and want to hit the pavement!
Spinning class outfits just got so real you are going to ask them to keep the lights on so your outfit gets appropriate admiration time. Snakeskin prints by Human Performance Engineering, and Ultracor’s Camo crops and leggings with a shock of brilliant yellow neon beg for a SoulCycle diva showdown extra long class!
Classic is in!
That is the message delivered in New York this week by a majority of the presenting designers.
Proenza Schouler rejigged the double breasted blazer, opening their show with a sleeveless jacket wrapped up in a Pussy Galore meets the KFC Colonel’s skinny black bow tie. Nothing represents classic fashion more than black and white.
The spectacularly sexy cool white designs found in Jonathan Simkhai’s Spring 2016 Collection should make every woman deliriously happy! The cut and style flow and ooze with style.
This could get dangerous!!!!
Michael Kors is THE gentleman of classic clothing. His Spring 2016 Collection is clean, forever fashion that glided across the runway and made buyers, editors and fashion lovers drool! The simplest design with the cleanest of lines in the very best of fabrics and colors.
Kors also brought out a bouquet of decadence in brocade floral pieces. The richness in their design and material is beyond compare, and an investment in his clothing guarantees a healthy roi!
Budget wise Michael Kors also offers a lower priced line, Michael Michael Kors which is always influenced by his ready-to-wear designs. So these fashions will easily translate into mall shopping!
Tomas Maier aka Mr. Miami, is all about linen, full skirts, maxi dresses, shirt dresses, pinks and reds. Simple one piece dressing – perfection in ease and style.

Now if we can all just ride out the 70’s vibe for Fall 2015…
There was a pity party happening in the suburbs.
Fashion blogger and style editor couldn’t go to NYFW. Too many commitments in my other role as a mom.
Luckily Vogue.com, instagram and the grooviest online fashion feeds allow me the super human combination of being super mama and fashion obsessed blogger all in a day’s work!
Christopher changed fashion forever when he permitted a live feed of his fashion show in February 2010. Before this landmark event fashion shows were strictly for buyers and editors and certainly NOT for suburban moms!
The greatest luxury is being able to watch live video feeds of the shows (hello phenomenal new playlists!!!), translate the fashions into suburban mom-speak and write posts for the blog, news sites and magazine, all while running the corporation of home, husband and children!
Seriously add it to your workout playlist NOW!
Other designers tapped it back in the form of nineties artists, Willie Nelson and of course using the appropriately titled “begging for threads” tee hee!
Tune in tomorrow for a posting dedicated to the simplicity of Spring 2016 Fashion. Imagine that!
