Hudson’s Bay Co. aka the proud new owner of Saks, (click here to read more) is a Canadian institution that dates back to the fur trapping early settler days of 1670. The striped blanket that started it all is actually called a point blanket. Native Canadians would trade beaver and other fur pelts for the point blanket as it was easier to sew – NOT exactly a fair trade!
Now you can own a little piece of Canadian history on your feet – literally – with Jack Purcell high or low tops that have a chunk of the ubiquitous blankie sewn on them!
Love those shoes!
