E. I. E. I. Woah!

Summer dressing just got a lot easier!

Overalls + whatever you want underneath!

Bikini, tank top, white t-shirt, flip flops, strappy heels, clogs…Mix it up!

MOTHER denim total drop out overalls (reversecommuter has been obsessing over these) the perfect wash, just the right amount of distressed denim and the perfect boyfriend cut capri combo.

Not to mention how much fun it will be to style these with suede and fringe in the fall!

One thing with fabulous fashion trends and styles is that they eventually repeat.

Clogs are back this Spring with a solid wooden-heeled thunk!

Marc Jacobs clogged up his Spring 2015 runway with color coordinated Dr. Scholl-esque shoes that are SO cute…ranging in price between $2000 – $2300, and selling out fast as per NYC boutique!

Gold, Military Green, Navy Blue (obviously reversecommuter is SUPER happy about that!), velvet, satin twill and suede – take your pick and stomp all over town owning that wooden statement!

Gucci has a heeled version with all the stomping power needed to get through the day.

Bits, leather and wood – yummy…and $850.  Worth the investment – reverse commuter bought a pair of Gucci clogs in the late nineties (I KNOW!!!!) and they are still every bit as gorgeous now!

Dr. Scholl (as in the original clog meister) still delivers a collection in plain and stripes!

Super duper delightful and budget loving at a modest $55 – seriously.

Whatever your spending limit, run like a little Dutch girl to pick up a pair of wooden clogs for Spring 2015!

Un-Clog Me!

Being a mom in the ‘burbs is not synonymous for icky clog wearing creature.

If stilettos are  not on the menu for a sporting event or school story-telling appearance, there are stylish offering available!

Fall is a tricky transition season for footwear – buh bye open toe fabulousness, yet not quite time for shearling lined tootsy treats.  A few of my current loves include these Gucci horsebit ankle boots.  “GIDDYUP!!!!!”

Alexander Wang’s Anouk Chelsea Boot is an absolute knockout in reversecommuter’s all time fave color, navy blue!

Nothing works better with jeans and a sweater than Prada’s classic patent Chelsea Boot

If it is a weekend game day and you are in the stands all day long, why not rock the Rick Owens’ Moody Low Sneakers (I am kind of obsessing over these right now!!!!!).

ps back to the icky clogs – if you are looking for a fun read, reversecommuter highly recommends “All Fall Down” (those clogs make an appearance!)

Dear Karl…

I am sure you are busy, what with Fashion Week less than 5 weeks away and heading both ChaCha and your own line plus all that incredible photography you do but….

if you could PLEASE bring back the ChaCha clog I would be eternally grateful!

Yes, I should be focused solely on Fall Collections at this point, but these are my all time faves and judging by the photos this is their VERY LAST SEASON.

sob whimper sob,

Burb living does have some positives, one of which is having an actual garden that isn’t restricted to containers.

That means trips to nurseries.

reversecommuter (as has been pointed out) needs little excuse to go shopping…
even for plants.

Missoni, the classic Italian knit design house founded in 1953, makes jaw-dropping gorgeousness. Now with the third generation ready to take over the company, Margherita delivers the same colorful, patterned knits that make grown women sob (or at least makes reversecommuter a little kooky).

Click the blue to go to Missoni.com – the website is a work of art!

Slipping on a Missoni is like taking a little holiday in Northern Italy, and when trapped in the burbs, how can you say no to that?

Sweater and Sunglasses by Missoni, shorts Rag & Bone, clogs Chanel.
