One Weekend Outfit, grey sky and chilly.
Knit pants are everywhere, think Fall 2014 Marc Jacobs, Chanel, and more!
Now think Joe Fresh at 49.00, suddenly everything seems a little sunnier!

Earth tone pinks, the perfect not-ready-to-give-up-summer color!
Warmer than summer whites but still a long way from the winter spectrum of the color wheel.
Rick Owens Fall 2014 Diana dress is a gorgeous collaboration of summer & fall, with a leather trim detail across the top. Drool Drool Drool!
Gucci Fall 2014 is all about blushing pinks – their ads are almost monochromatically dedicated to the ultimate girlie color! This blazer paired with jeans and a white tank top would be an ideal September outfit.
RedValentino’s pleated pink blush skirt is begging to be a wardrobe staple and it’s versatility is mind-blowing! Flat brogues, little cardigan and this skirt…HOLYTOLEDO the school bus drop off line will not know what happened!!!
Fall 2013 reversecommuter was under self-imposed exile from the color grey.
I mean pahleeeze – how can one fashion obsessed blogger stay away from all this depth, richness, texture and blatant cashmereness?!?!?
Could not wear it, buy it or even think about it. Fall 2012 I kinda sorta went grey overboard. Cold Turkey, self-instilled.
New year, new shopping lust list! WHOOP WHOOP!
Clearly in Fall 2014 there is a severe risk of Overdosing on Grey Gorgeousness!!!
Being a mom in the ‘burbs is not synonymous for icky clog wearing creature.
If stilettos are not on the menu for a sporting event or school story-telling appearance, there are stylish offering available!
Fall is a tricky transition season for footwear – buh bye open toe fabulousness, yet not quite time for shearling lined tootsy treats. A few of my current loves include these Gucci horsebit ankle boots. “GIDDYUP!!!!!”
Alexander Wang’s Anouk Chelsea Boot is an absolute knockout in reversecommuter’s all time fave color, navy blue!
Nothing works better with jeans and a sweater than Prada’s classic patent Chelsea Boot
If it is a weekend game day and you are in the stands all day long, why not rock the Rick Owens’ Moody Low Sneakers (I am kind of obsessing over these right now!!!!!).
ps back to the icky clogs – if you are looking for a fun read, reversecommuter highly recommends “All Fall Down” (those clogs make an appearance!)
Culottes cut the fall transition a lot of slack (get it?). Cropped, wide leg and even with a hint of pleating! A wide cropped leg with a gorgeously flattering waist, what a perfect wardrobe piece to wear while bidding adieu to a ridicunculously great summer!
This is going to be my main look for 2014 fall – maybe even investing in cream, navy and gray as I already own 3 pairs of black.
Not quite banishing the ankles and calves behind bolts of fabrics quite yet.
Culottes even allow for a little extended life for sandals, mules and kitten heels.
So UGGS, mukluks, and snow boots hold off a little, bring on the culottes and let that tan fade away slowly…..
See what happens when reversecommuter is stuck in the beach house for one itty bitty rainy afternoon?
Longing for shearling jackets overwhelms me and a hunting I did go!
Acne’s oversized shearling is just about the dreamiest recreation of the aviation classic for Fall 2014.
But it is a RIDICULOUSLY close tie with Chloe’s reverse able blanket shearling – um, shaddup! How luxurious would a polar vortex be with one of those sweet babies wrapped all over you?!?!?! And I will happily sign up for a pair of those yummaroooo clompy booties too!
Not to worry, sunset this evening offered up a cotton candy kaleidoscope of pinks and blues, bikinis and beach days in reversecommuter’s very near future!
Friday, you freakin’ rock!
Tom Ford is launching fancy schmancy sneakers for Fall 2014 – sign me up! Sending a message that the current sporting line obsession of the fashion industry is still going strong. Prices range from $690 to $990, for sneaks that have been hand made in Italian workshops, where the leather is hand polished for three days for the deep patina. If cost is a concern for these norm core creations, go for the velvet low tops with the modest $690 price tag.
reversecommuter LOVES all things Tom Ford (click here to revisit the love), and wonders when the women’s sneaks will be unveiled…and for how much.
DIOR Secret Garden Part 3 has returned to the intoxicatingly beautiful Palais de Versailles. I love these videos, shot by wonder duo Inez and Vinoodh.
The bags, the dresses, the shoes, Depeche Mode still singing and OBVIOUSLY the palace and grounds – c’est règal pour les jeux! reversecommuter is loving the tease Dior has put up on Instagram:
If possible drink pink bubbles while wearing pink at some point this weekend – it’s good to have goals!

What the heck is this?
Hormones are to blame. Apparently after a pregnancy the hormones can alter your hair – it can go dark, light, curly or ahem…kinky. In. Just. One. Place.
Predictions for Fall 2014 Hair Trends include The Hair Tuck, whereby you tuck your ponytail into a scarf, shirt or coat.
The Mohawk Braid is another biggie. I am kinda digging this one!
Chanel’s crimped, tweed twined ponytail was the closest do I could find to give me a little kinky-hair-hope.
Hair Trends for Fall 2014 have yet to mention the word KINKY but reversecommuter is on standby.
Traffic Jam in the ‘burbs!
O.W.O. this week is all about the simplicity of a dress. One piece = easy peasy outfit!
Leather is big for Spring 2014 AND for Fall 2014. Balenciaga, Gucci, Yigal Azrouel, Fendi, Akris, Chanel, Jonathan Simkhai – all the cool kids have skins in their collections!
Translation – buy now, wear now and later! Amortize that purchase peeps!
