Furry Festivities

What is cuter than a furry accent?

The quickest fancy fix for any outfit, especially during the Holiday Season! How about a furry sleeved sweater at a ridiculously appealing $49 from Nastygal?

Faux or Fur, whichever makes you happy!

Add a furry keychain to your bag for a little surprise. Fendi is the master of the furry monster key chains at $850!

Gucci fur lined mules will make any outfit EXPLODE into a different stratosphere of style!

Or maybe the mink pompom lace up sandals from Gucci (or be really greedy and get both!)

Pair an animal print faux fur jacket ($94 at Neiman Marcus Last Call) with a simple white t-shirt, add leather jeans and stilettos and prepare for an onslaught of mistletoers!

Fur Snow Repeat

Even in the after glow of the Pats Superbowl Win (YAYZIES!!!!), the snowstorm that is currently dumping mega inches of white stuff is affecting my fashion thoughts.

Winter freakin’ wonderland chez moi

Trending in the mind of reversecommuter today…Fur Boots.  Mukluks with sass if you will.

Chloe’s Danny Boot

Chloe’s Danny Boot with fox fur is my personal front runner.

Liska’s sable boot

If you care to slum it a little, Liska’s sable fur boot is on sale for $3K.

Manola Blue Wedge Boot

Manola blue fox wedge boot over at Gorsuch (who doesn’t squeal out loud when that catalogue arrives?!) is beyond description.  Navy.  Fur. Boots.  !!!!!!!

Maybe it is the Canadian in me but I couldn’t not include Manitoba Mukluks in this list.  The Tall Wrap Mukluk with rabbit fur is a little more budget friendly but still furry and fabulous.

For the Faux Fans how about this $45 deal for faux mink mukluks?

Now if you will excuse me, three awesomely mischievous children just DARED to challenge me to a snowball fight!

Chapka Chic

Boston has survived Juno and is now a veritable winter wonderland. IMG_6672 So now the obvious problem is how to look good while keeping the ears warm! (once that is solved the bags under my eyes will be tackled…) IMG_6673 Chapkas, otherwise known as Trapper Hats seem to be all over the place.  Eternally gorgeous Elle Macpherson chose the Chapka in Aspen. article-2526809-1A364C1100000578-811_634x900 The price range is anywhere from under $100 all the way up to north of $1000, depending on what it is made of.

Pologeorgis Coyote Fur Hat @ Bergdorf’s

Fur or faux, fox, rabbit or synthetic, this is the style to beat the brrrrrrs!

Canada Goose Mr. Porter

Obviously Bryan Boy’s brilliant orange Trapper Hat had to be included, mainly because it’s his!

Bryan Boy for Adrienne Landau Trapper Hat @ Kirna Zabete

The faux fur options are just as plentiful with a simple google search!

Imposter Faux Fur Hat @ Barney’s

Click the pics to go get a little online retail therapy – very therapeutic after numerous snow days!

Cute Accoutrement!

Accoutrement – French for “additional items for dress”…like a fur scarf!

Or a fab faux like this Rachel Zoe, on sale right now so click the blue!

Michael Kors brought it as one of his key looks for Pre-Fall 2014.  reversecommuter could / should / would absolutely live in this all day long!!

BCBG Max Azria scattered a couple of pelts around the neck too for Pre-Fall 2014.

reversecommuter is mildly obsessed with fur scarves.  Purple fox?  Check.

Mink?  Yup.  Sable?  Working on it….Valentine of mine, are you reading this?

KirnaZabete was rocking it last week when they were hanging with Prabal Gurung, pre-NYFW, pre-streaker (ugh).  Click here for more of that Fashion Week debacle (why is it always the peeps who shouldn’t overshare that do?!)

Pause here for an Uber-cool reversecommuter moment – when I met KirnaZabete (Beth Puccini and Sarah Easely), I told them the goal of the blog was to get one woman in the ‘burbs out of yoga pants every single day – they LOVED it, and told me it was the same reason behind what they did.   Um….shivers!!!!!!!!
