O.W.O. Sunset Edition

O.W.O. (one weekend outfit) is all about sunsets and rosè…and sweats.  Insert “HUH?” here.

It is in reference to the launch of net-a-porter‘s net-a-SPORTER, a dedicated portal for all things sporty, be it golf, tennis, running, yoga and even apres-les-sportifs!

reversecommuter has long been concerned about women trapped in the dreaded “I GAVE UP” yoga pant uniform.  Net-a-SPORTER is different.  It is a gorgeously selected group of designer pieces that make the sporty look look fab!  Designers include Laiin, Monreal London, Bodyism, Stella McCartney, Nike, Hey Jo etc.  Suffice it to say that the old fading yoga pants have had their day.

Natalie Massenet and her troops can help clean up the world just a teeny tiny bit – in the same vein as reversecommuter aims to do on a daily basis – to remove one burnt out elastic yoga pant from one woman’s wardrobe.

Don’t you just love it when your wine matches the sunset?  😉

Monochromatic Navy

My favorite color has always been Navy Blue.

Walked around a zoo in the scorching heat with the bambinos – hat turned out to be a really great choice – although I could have used a conductor’s hat!

Two years ago in NYC reversecommuter splurged in the Prada boutique in Soho (by the by, SUCH a COOL space!!!!), and bought this fab skirt.

So now, even when waaaaaaay out in the burbs, surrounded by TRACTORS and HAY, the Prada skirt still makes me happy.  Maybe even happier than ever before!

So the next time you find yourself questioning the wisdom of a high priced purchase, remember the words of reversecommuter,  “DO IT!”

Fedora-ful!

Have you found yourself grooving to imaginary Cuban tunes?  MIght be your sense of style dropping not-so-subtle hints that it is craving a fabulous new fedora!

1882 brought to stage a play named “Fedora” about an aptly named princess, Princess Fedora who wore a hat.  Fast-track to 2012 and all the cool chicks (modern day princesses) are rocking’ the fedora.

You can get one at a scream of a deal at J. Crew for $9.99… SWEET!!!!   I bought mine at Joe Fresh for a particularly pleasing $12.00.

Surprisingly easy to wear (other than the obvious dreaded hat head) and versatile too!

Even seven year-olds are raiding their mama’s closet!  (grrrrrr)
