Two Piece Too Good

Bikinis.  The two piece wonder of swimsuits.

Simple in design, complicated in embracing.  Too many women give up the bikini after having children.  Too many women give up the bikini after a certain age.  “Pshaw” I say!  Go get yourself a bikini, own it with your sassy self and add an extra minute to your morning plank as bikini incentive!

Swimwear designers are people too, predominantly the female kind.  Shan, one of reversecommuter’s faves is founded and run by Chantal Levesque.  Click here to see previous posts!

Her designs are flattering, the vibrant prints and colors more enticing than a brand new box of crayolas, and Shan provides numerous options for both bikini tops and bottoms.

Triangles, over the should support, pads, high waist, full butt coverage, medium butt coverage, etc.  Chantal understands the Shan customer, and what a  Shan bikini needs to deliver in both cut and style.

MarysiaSwim is a new found love of reversecommuter’s.  Maria Dobrzanska Reeves founded MarysiaSwim based on a love of both surfing and style.

Her trademark scalloped edge bikinis offer a sleek new take on the bikini.  Brilliant colors, hypnotizingly sexy prints and limited collections make purchasing MarysiaSwim pieces an absolute hobby!

The Mott bikini is everything.

Décolleté over-exposure is so over.  Cover up your über sensitive skin with this design, and still look beyond fabulous!

The MarysiaSwim bandeau is magical.  Clearly when a swimsuit line is designed by an active mom with exceptional style and taste, the bandeau stays up even when you jump in to save your iPhone, which of course your child wanted to see if it could swim.  It can’t by the way.

Things Are Looking Up!

That was the view from the W Hotel Boston‘s rooftop.

reversecommuter had the pleasure of doing Tara Stiles‘ yoga class, on the ROOFTOP of the W Hotel Boston (cool right?!).

You don’t even know cool until you take The Yoga Rebel’s yoga class, on the rooftop of the W Hotel in Boston, listening to funky tunes, bending your body into contortions and being a rooftop warrior while watching planes fly by, all the while drooling over Tara’s UBER fab striped pants & cow face pose tank which she designed for REEBOK.

reversecommuter was barely able to contain herself and not start online shopping on her iphone while on her yoga mat I was SO in love with this outfit -the pants sadly are not available, but the tank is mine!  OMMMMMMMM!

Fashion & Finance Friday!

BOOOOO – Friday has arrived!

Unknown-1

Away she goes…again.  Jil Sander has left her namesake brand, for the third time.  Prada bought the company in 1999, and since then Jil has left her company 3 times, always for personal reasons, aka she doesn’t work well under others.  This is completely understandable, it was her company that she founded back in 1968, and it was her minimalist lines that created a following.  Sensitive artist types!

Fashion & Finance Friday!

Happy Holidays!
Apologies for the late in the day posting, but reversecommuter is on vacation in the Great White North (Cananda) visiting friends & relatives.  Kinda cold and snowy here but SO FUN!!!!!!!!

Apple’s App Store reported an 87% increase from 2011 on Christmas Day app downloads – Santa’s sack must have been loaded down with iPads & iPhones!

Christmas came early to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation! Mark Zuckerberg donated $500 MILLION to the organization, which then directs the funds to preselected charities.

Champs (a subject near and dear to reverse commuter, click the blue to see previous posts proving this!) and particularly seasonal with New Year’s right around the corner is suffering a slump in sales, especially in France. The French champagne sales are down 4.7% this year, but worry not fabulous blog readers, prosecco sales are on the rise across the EU as the economic woes influence purchases. Meanwhile back in the USA champs sales are up – and please note that is not completely my work!

Happy New Year – hope your outfit to fete in 2013 is fashionable and outstanding!

Beach Babies & their gear!

Long gone are the carefree days of carrying a cute little carry-all to the beach, like the one from Pucci in the second pic, rather it is now a workout similar to bootcamp to get everyone and everything to the beach.

cc

The good news is that beach days are WAY more fun with little people giggling, splashing and playing, while the adults attempt to remain somewhat fashion conscious in their swimwear, sunglasses and the tunes blaring from their iPhone/Jawbone combo.
