Back to the Future Jacket

Futuristic Metalics are changing outerwear.

Outerwear needs to be warm.  Obviously.  But why not add a little color, texture or shine?

adidas by Stella McCartney has a fun metallic crop jacket that is ridiculously warm and efficient as a wind breaker.  Safe to say my hair speaks to the wind factor.

The fact that it resembles the delorean silver car in Back to the Future is the perfect reason to profile it on Back to the Future Day!

Fashion & Finance Friday!

Holy Toledo what a week – reversecommuter thought it was Friday on Tuesday!!!

Prada is all over the Great Gatsby!  Yet another reason to go see that amazing looking movie – the costumes!  Prada opened an exhibit of the Gatsby costumes at the Soho Prada boutique (reversecommuter knows it well if you need directions!).

40 costumes will be on display until May 12th.  How cool a weekend package would that be – go to NYC, see The Great Gatsby movie then visit the Prada Soho boutique to see the costumes…and maybe squeeze in a little shopping!

THE fashion event of NYC (other than Fashion Week) is the Met Ball, to be held Monday May 6th.  The theme is PUNK and the uber upper class crowd is all in a tizzy as it just isn’t a haute couture style of dress.  Rumor has it the Versace pin number Elizabeth Hurley wore is the type of vibe most will attempt to channel….maybe even in Chanel.  🙂

Have a BRILLIANT & Fashion Filled Weekend – wear some fabulously heeled sandals to go to the groc shop!

Row Row Row Your Closet…

Corny title – I know, but the only reference I could muster up for The Row, a line that I am just a little bit obsessed with!  The Olsen Twins are the talent behind this line, and continue to win awards and clientele based on superb design and creativity.

Charlize Theron looked phenom in The Row‘s pre-fall leather dress at the Snow White and the Huntsman premiere in Tokyo.  That movie is so on my summer must see list.

I just watched “Young Adults“.  Charlize’s character was such a tragic hot mess, and she delivered such a convincing portrayal of a hangover that I found myself in search of some diet coke too!

I spotted a gorgeous The Row sleeveless leather dress at Barney’s, tightly secured by a chain and alarm wire (might have had something to do with the $2600.00 price tag).  It felt like butter!!!!!!!!!
