Dumb Down the Price

Celine’s Fall 2014 Collection had a long knit turtleneck that made reversecommuter crumble, drool and stutter.  It was ❤️at first sight…right up to the $2000 price tag.

I justified that it was too limiting a piece for that type of investment.  Point on revelation but I still really, really loved it.

Fast forward to now.  In the ‘burbs, armed with a rake.

Wearing a $30 turtleneck from Zara.

Yeah, that’s pretty much how it feels!

Layer Liar

Denial.

I refuse to acknowledge that old man winter is right around the corner.

Nor’Easters.  Blizzards.  The dreaded Snow Days (mamas everywhere shudder with that phrase!).  Nope, not coming.

Sundresses, jean jackets maybe add a shawl or a cape if it’s really chilly.  Open toe booties help keep the dream alive!

Slip a turtleneck or a white shirt under the dress if the thermometer is being particularly challenging.

Just keep denying the inevitable.

O.W.O. Turtle What?

O.W.O. (One Weekend Outfit) is all about a conundrum of mine…

Why is it called a turtleneck?

Granted it delivers warmth but why the testudine reference?  What does the rolled neck sweater style have to do with a hard shelled slow moving turtle?

And do not even get me started on all the lumps & bumps that come seemingly attached to  sweaters!!

SPANX Me Silly!
