…unless of course I find myself BURSTING to post about some little bit of fashion that has me completely obsessed! As in the super amazing trend at Pitti Uomo of terry cloth blazers – can that please translate over for women please?
Now imagine how perfect the world would be with a combination of a SHAN bikini and a terry cloth blazer – who needs a towel? Straight from the beach to dinner! (admit it, you were thinking it too…)
I would love to have the guts to change up my hair every season, but I don’t.
Annually in May & June I toy HARD with the idea of cutting my hair drastically – usually a la Bardot (click here to review last year’s BIg Change…NOT!). Is Bridget Bardot ridiculously perfect in this shot or what?!
Think I might have struck gold this year with my 2014 Summer Do and it is short…and pinned up. Queue the chicken noise…
Twitter allows GIFs as of 06/18/2014 so here is reversecommuter’s vlog-a-bration! Whoop Whoop!
Thank you to all of you who participated in reversecommuter.com’s very first giveaway!
Over 146 likes added to reversecommuter’s FaceBook page – cool! From such amazing faraway spots as Dubai, Italy, Greece, China & Hong Kong, South Africa, Spain, South Korea, Mexico, all over the USA and Canada!
Last night was a fun night in complete with hair up, glasses on, sitting in front of a fire in my fave Marni sweater, and reversecommuter building a spreadsheet, copying & pasting 146 names into little cells, printing, cutting and folding (must confess a glass of chardonnay was my assistant!), and a final draw occurred….
Congratulations Kendall Maggi, you are the winner and new owner of a pumpkin turban hat from The Third Piece!!!! Ping me your 411 so I can send it to you!
Thank you for entering and following! This was SO much fun…think I might do it again really soon!!!
Thank the heavens above, the week is done! Now if only the deep freeze would thaw….
Ralphie has done it again! Ralph Lauren unveiled the US Olympic Team uniforms yesterday and they are purdy!!!!!!! (having said that, reversecommuter is still SO UBER OBSESSED with Austria’s Olympic Uniforms from Bogner – click here to salivate!)
This video from Ralph Lauren tells the story of a wool producer from an Oregan ranch that has been a family owned business for over 140 years. It is a beautiful vignette and instills immediate patriotism!
In the video the narrator comments on the friendliness of the NYC Ralph Lauren design team. reversecommuter had the pleasure of working with these designers a few years back and I can personally vouch for the warmth, design skills and energy offered from this fashion mammoth.
Ralph Lauren should be commended for their creativity, design and vision of delivering the athletes uniforms that are completely designed and produced in the USA.
Instagram as a science project? Instagram has been helping a tech firm named Olapic and professors at the University of Wisconsin study marketing and the relationship between photos and online sales (file under SUPER cool!). According to their findings the colors yellow and blue increase sale. The filters available on Instagram and other photo apps influence emotional reaction to the pictures.
And here you thought your favorite filter option just made your skin glow a little more! Olapic counts Steve Madden, Bumble and bumble, Gilt, Coach, NastyGal, Veuve Cliquot and Vineyard Vines as clients who turn to them to pull Instagram pics from users into marketing data and mine it to increase sales.
Corny title – I know, but the only reference I could muster up for The Row, a line that I am just a little bit obsessed with! The Olsen Twins are the talent behind this line, and continue to win awards and clientele based on superb design and creativity.
Charlize Theron looked phenom in The Row‘s pre-fall leather dress at the Snow White and the Huntsman premiere in Tokyo. That movie is so on my summer must see list.
I just watched “Young Adults“. Charlize’s character was such a tragic hot mess, and she delivered such a convincing portrayal of a hangover that I found myself in search of some diet coke too!
I spotted a gorgeous The Row sleeveless leather dress at Barney’s, tightly secured by a chain and alarm wire (might have had something to do with the $2600.00 price tag). It felt like butter!!!!!!!!!
